5 Ways to keep your Education Alive

So so many people make the mistake of assuming that once they cross the stage… their education is complete.  Years later, those same people wonder why their life didn’t turn out the way they hoped.

I’ve said this many times, and I’ll continue to say that…

YOUR EDUCATION DOESN’T END ON GRADUATION DAY!

Learning is continuous, and even though we sometimes lose sight of our education throughout the rat-race of life, there are five ways to keep your education alive… regardless of your occupation.

READ BOOKS

No matter what line of work you’re in, there’s a book out there that covers your occupation, hobby, or dreams.  The person who wrote that book will also show you how to obtain the life you hoped for.

SEEK MENTORS

In relation to #1, there are a number of individuals who have years of experience, and who are experts in the career you’re hoping to improve in.  Many mentors are willing to train you step-by-step to get you to the level you desire.

ATTEND SEMINARS

Career seminars are a great way to connect with industry leaders in your field.  These seminars provide a wealth of knowledge for you to move up the ranks, or branch out on your own.

PAY ATTENTION!

Frankly… you don’t have to spend a dime to further your education in most fields.  In most occupations, if you just pay attention to the co-workers who are successful, you’ll obtain continuous day-to-day knowledge.

GET OUT THERE AND DO IT!

We’ve all heard it… “The best education is experience.”  This statement is the absolute truth.  You can have all the education, manuals, and blue-prints, but until you get out there and get your hands dirty… you’ll never grasp the real-life lessons.
