3 THINGS TO DO WHEN YOUR FOCUS NEEDS RE-FOCUS!

Let’s face it…

we all get a little off track at times.

We all get our priorities mixed up…

and we all lose sight of what’s important.

We’re Human!

What’s important is that we don’t spend too much time wandering the endless path… and we get back on track!

But it’s difficult to catch ourselves when we’ve lost focus…

so here are 3 things we should do when our focus needs a little RE-FOCUS!

1. IDENTIFY YOUR DISTRACTIONS

This will take some self-examining… and a lot of honesty.  Whenever there is a loss of focus… there is also a laundry list of distractions that are sure to be the cause.  Do not underestimate the power of distractions!  They surround us from the time we wake-up… until the time we go to bed.  The problem is that most people never realize the activities that are a part of their lives… are actually what’s distracting them from their best life.

2. MAKE A DAILY ‘TO-DO LIST’

After you identify your distractions… you should promptly eliminate them.  The next step is to identify your priorities, and organize them into a daily ‘To-Do List.’  This list should stretch at least five to six days a week, because what happens is that we tend to lose focus when we feel we have nothing to do… and that’s when the distractions creep in.  Having a ‘To-Do List’ is the best way to maintain focus.

3. FOLLOW IT!!!

It’s great to write out a ‘To-Do List,’ but if your list ends up sitting on the desk… it’s useless!  Writing a ‘To-Do List’ is the easy part, however, following the list requires dedication, persistence, and hard work.  So many people (including myself) have written effective list, and unfortunately these people have fallen back into the same old unfocused habits… by simply not following the list.  When you follow a daily ‘To-Do List,’ you’re producing a life of purpose… and success is always attained on purpose.
