3 WAYS YOUR PAST WILL EFFECT YOU…

Like it or not… we all have one!

Some are good, some are bad… but most of them are regrettable.  And although we are taught to forget about it… it’s difficult to develop amnesia when our quality of life is a direct result of…

OUR PAST!

At times it seems impossible not to live in the past… especially when our past is directly connected to the majority of our memories.

So what can we do?  How do we distinguish between experiencing ‘good memories’… or being influenced by our past?

It all starts with understanding!

First… understanding that we all have a past.

Second… understanding how our past can shape our future.

Throughout your life…

THERE ARE 3 WAYS YOUR PAST WILL EFFECT YOU!

1.  HOLD YOU BACK

Unfortunately… there are many people who have thrown in the towel, stop believing, or given up… because something bad happened to them.  Even though bad things happen to all of us… they single-out themselves as being cursed, inferior, or not good enough to live a meaningful life.  They allow their entire future to lay waste because of one bad event in their past.

2.  GIVE YOU AN EXCUSE TO STAY STAGNATE

Ever known someone who tried to improve themselves, failed… and never tried again?  It could have been a college rejection letter, the denial of a business loan, or the dismissal of an idea.  Too many people remain on one level, because they’ve tried to leap to the next level… and fell.  That doesn’t mean we can’t leap again!

3.  EMPOWER YOU TO EXCEL

There are people who quit, there are people who stay in the same place… and there are the few!  These few get angry when something bad happens.  These people get aggravated when rejected… and these people become more and more motivated to succeed as a result!  These people take ‘the bad’ in their past as a personal challenge, and will never stop until they re-write their story!
