THE IMPORTANCE OF CONSISTENCY…

We all knew this kid.  Back in school this kid was blessed with athletics, and was one of the top athletes in the school.

Everyone told this kid he was going pro… and he believed it.  Now this kid was good, but he only practiced when the team practiced, and during free-time… this kid loved to hang-out with friends.

This kid enjoyed a few years of success due to natural ability, but as this kid got older, the competition got better.  Yet in still… this kid only practiced when the team practiced, and free-time still consisted of hanging with friends.

In the end… this kid never made it to the pros, and people around the neighborhood would say that this kid was good, but didn’t have what it took to go all the way.

This was not the case.  This kid, like many kids growing up… did indeed have what it took.  But just as in life, what separates those who achieve, and those who fall short is…

CONSISTENCY!

The fact of the matter is…

We all are gifted at something, and that is life’s blessings, however, we tend to curse our destiny by thinking we can turn our gifts off and on whenever we see fit.

Now this is fine if we only seek to be AVERAGE at what we do, but if we want our gifts to fully bless our lives… then consistency is a must!

WE ARE GREATEST AT WHAT WE DO EVERYDAY… gifts or no gifts!

Now imagine how our lives would benefit if we used our gifts consistently… DAILY?

If your gift is athletics, you don’t just practice when the team gets together… you practice consistently!  If your gift is music, you don’t just pick-up your instrument a couple of days per week… you practice consistently!

What if grocery stores only opened up a couple of days per week?

What if banks decided to let us in whenever they felt the need?

What if the sun decided to come out every once in a blue moon?

Sounds silly, but the point is…

THE GREATEST THINGS IN LIFE OPERATE FROM CONSISTENCY…

AND YOU CAN’T HAVE GREAT RESULTS WITHOUT CONSISTENCY!
