This happens when our actions are controlled by our thoughts, which seem to go in all different directions throughout the day. Our thoughts, however, mainly come from two places…
DESIRE & INFLUENCE!
There are things which we naturally desire as human beings: food, types of entertainment, lifestyle preferences, and habits.
There are also countless influences that attempt to persuade us at every turn: advertising, social media, cultural practices, and types of entertainment.
With that said, both desire and influence direct our thoughts, but what’s important is our option to distinguish between positive desires and influences… and negative desires and influences. These options by the way, also control our thoughts, however, these options are guided by…
You see… if we allow our thoughts to run wild, our lives would become filled with an array of mistakes, disappointments, and regrets. It’s our beliefs that distinguish whether our thoughts derive from positive desires and influences, or negative desires and influences.
At some point in our lives… we will have the desire to commit a crime, but our beliefs will determine if we act on those thoughts.
At some point in our lives… we will be influenced to attend church, but it will depend on our beliefs whether or not we act on those thoughts.
