Who are you?
I mean… do you have any idea who you are?
This seems like an obnoxious question, but if anyone walked right up to you and asked “Who are you?” … what kind of answer would you give?
Now most of us will pause, or have difficulty searching for the right words to describe ourselves. But what if I asked the same question about others?
Who is your spouse?
Who are your friends?
Who are your co-workers?
Do you have any idea who they are? It’s funny how we can answer these questions with ease. We actually talk about who other people are so much… there is no need for a question.
All joking aside… this creates a huge problem in our society. We study to become experts on everyone else, before we begin the first lesson on ourselves.
But is that our fault?
Before we reach adulthood, we’re thrown into the real world, which consist of neighbors, friends, classmates, and co-workers. From the beginning of each day until we go to bed, we are bombarded with crash courses of other people’s personalities, practices, and lifestyles. So as life goes on… we are left with no time to get to know ourselves.
I believe this is the main reason why so many people are easily influenced in life.
So the question remains…
WHO ARE YOU?
DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHO YOU ARE?
Many of us never take the time to get to know ourselves. We never take that much needed personal vacation. We never look within for what makes us happy. We never slow down to discover our life as we would want it to be.
Imagine if we knew who we were before we chose our careers.
Imagine if we knew who we were before being bombarded with influences.
Imagine if we knew who we were before we got into that relationship.
SO BEFORE WE BEGIN TO LEARN ABOUT OTHERS,
WE NEED TO SLOW DOWN…
AND BECOME EXPERTS ON OURSELVES!
