IT’S NOT ABOUT YOU… IT’S ABOUT WHO FOLLOWS YOU!

Throughout our day to day monotonous grind…

it’s human nature to become self-absorbed in taking care of wants, needs, goals, and desires.

We get so caught up in the numerous ways of improving ourselves, our situations, and our status… that we unconsciously emerge ourselves in the intimate world of US.

And this is not a bad thing, because our first responsibility is to ourselves…

BUT OUR MOST ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITY IS TO THOSE WHO FOLLOW US!

My focus here is not on our children… because that subject is self-explanatory.  The focus here lies on the overall examples that our generation is leaving for the next.

What many adults fail to realize is…

For those of us who are past the age of understanding, every message we deliver, every action we display, every condition we create… will be duplicated, re-created, and enhanced by those who have not yet reached the age of understanding.

The road we pave for those to follow is meant to provide a smoother transition… not a bumpier road!

Nevertheless… it’s challenging to constantly think about the examples we are leaving with every move we make!

But it’s not difficult to consider the difference between right and wrong!  And although there will never be a perfect society, I fully believe the moral advancement of the human race will continuously improve, if we thought first about how our actions would affect others… before we act!

Because whether we realize it or not… every message we deliver, every action we display, every situation we create… will either become the rise or the ruin of a generation that follows.
