Have you ever gotten out of bed and asked yourself… “Why did I do that yesterday?”
Have you ever laid in bed the morning after and promised God and yourself that… “I’ll never do that again!”
We’ve all been in those situations. Remember how it felt… that feeling of ease and gratefulness of being safe and secure in your bed, and we were thankful that whatever mess we’d gotten ourselves into was in the past.
Well… those feelings of ease and gratefulness were only made possible because of the new day, and the lessons were learned not to repeat those actions of the day before. This same concept applies to other areas in life as well.
WHY IS IT THAT WHEN WE MAKE MISTAKES SOCIALLY, WE WAKE-UP THE NEXT MORNING RELIEVED THAT THE NEW DAY IS A SECOND CHANCE. BUT WHEN WE MAKE MISTAKES IN OUR CAREERS OR PROFESSIONALLY, WE WAKE-UP FEELING LIKE FAILURES… AND NEVER RECOVER?
EACH DAY IS NOT JUST A SECOND CHANCE WHEN WE FAIL SOCIALLY…
EACH DAY IS A NEW STARTING POINT IN ALL ASPECTS OF LIFE!
When we get knocked down in life professionally… that next morning should bring the same ease and gratefulness as when we get knocked down socially!
When we have a bad day at work, the next morning we should ask ourselves “Why did I do that yesterday?”… and go back to work and take over!
When we make a mistake in our business, the next morning we should declare to ourselves “I’ll never do that again.”… and show up the next day armed with new ideas and enthusiasm.
No matter what we did yesterday, whether it’s socially or professionally, the moment we wake-up the next day… it is known as the past!
SO WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR STARTING POINT THIS MORNING?
