Throughout our daily grind… there are so many distractions that causes our focus to go out into left field. Basically, in today’s world… it takes focus to stay focused. Although there are activities we should practice daily to help jump start our days to stay on task, there are also personal activities we can practice at the end of the day to keep our minds in focus.
HERE ARE 3 QUESTIONS WE SHOULD ASK OURSELVES AT THE END OF EACH DAY:
1. WHAT DID I LEARN TODAY?
We don’t have to sit in a class everyday to learn something. The entire world is a never ending classroom. We all should educate ourselves daily in one or more subjects. In addition, did we discover anything new about ourselves; on the job, or about the people around us? Anything we learn, positive or negative… can help us on our journey towards achieving our goals.
2. DID I MOVE CLOSER TO MY GOALS?
Believe it or not… with each day, we’re either slowly improving, or slowly declining. This is vital to those of us who are goal oriented. But it’s more than outside accomplishments! With each day, are we strengthening our relationships with our families? Are we building stronger bonds with our children? Are we communicating with our spouses… or just going through the motions? It’s just as important that our personal lives show growth… not just our professional lives.
3. HAVE I SET A GOOD EXAMPLE?
Whenever we’re in the journey towards our goals… it’s easy to become self-absorbed, and without knowing it, we can neglect others and make poor decisions. Whether it’s in the company of our co-workers, our employees, or our friends and family… it’s important to set a good example for others to follow. Remember… one of the best ways to get what you want, is to inspire others to get what they want.
